How To Find Travel Discounts In Canada

Adriana Noton

There are many different types of travel discounts you can find for traveling in and around Canada. You’ll want to look into an clubs you belong to, at travel sites or agency discounts, and of course, look online.

Before heading out on your travel or even paying for your trip, take the time to look into any clubs you belong to and discover if they offer discounts. When you plan your trip you can often find discounts offered through affiliations such as Senior Citizen discounts, school sorority and fraternity discounts, hobby club discounts and others. So take the time to check out all of your affiliation discounts before you book your trip.

You’ll often find that if you stay in certain hotels, rent cars from certain companies, or even plan on dining in a certain restaurant that your affiliations offer discounts. Check out what your clubs, school, and professional affiliations offer before booking so you can take advantage of your memberships.

Another way to look into discounts is to look into those travel sites that offer booking deals such as booking a full package including flight, car rental, hotel or motel, and entertainment. Often the package deal will be less than if you booked it all separate.

You also want to look into an all inclusive type package usually offered at resorts or on cruises. This can save you a ton of money when it comes to eating during your stay. All inclusive is just that, your flight may not be included but everything else is including your accommodations, food, entertainment and some even have sightseeing tours that are included. It may seem expensive at the beginning but when you look or add up all the amenities offered you’ll find you save a bundle.

Of course, you may also want to look into booking your travel plans way in advance, this means a year or more. The earlier you book, the better the deal. At the other end of the spectrum is taking advantage of last minute bookings. These last minute deals are often offered at huge discounts as a package that is paid for is better than no package at all.

This means that you do take chances of sitting separate on the flight, may not be able to stay in the exact hotel you want, or you may miss out on a fully booked entertainment you wanted to see. If this is a concern, keep an eye on the available space on any of the travel plans you want, and then grab the last seats, rooms, or tickets.

Travel discounts are available in Canada on a regular basis, make sure you’re taking advantage of all the discounts you can when you start planning your travel package, you’ll wind up saving more than you thought. Look into club memberships, affiliations, booking complete packages, all inclusive vacations and of course, those huge discount last minute bookings to take advantage of saving all the money you can on your vacation or travel plans.
