Las Vegas, Nevada is affectionately known as the wedding capital of the world. There are more than fifty wedding chapels in the city providing couples with a variety of choices when planning to exchange vows. When it comes to getting married, it is no wonder that Las Vegas is such a popular choice. If you are planning to take the marriage plunge, consider a Las Vegas wedding.

From lavish hotels, resorts, and casinos offering themed ceremonies, it seems that everywhere you look people are getting married in Las Vegas as there are more than 120,000 marriage licenses issued annually. Las Vegas wedding chapels feature 24-hour drive through chapels, lavish themed weddings such as having Elvis officiate the ceremonies, traditional church ceremonies, and beautiful outdoor weddings such as at Mt. Charleston. You have such a wide variety of choices that you will definitely be able to have the wedding of your dreams.

The holidays are a great time to get married in Las Vegas. Such holidays that can help you create a particular themed wedding include: Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve, Christmas, and much more. As well, if you want your wedding to be a big spectacular party, Las Vegas is the place to have your wedding. If you plan on bringing guests with you, there are many great hotels and resorts. However, make sure you book early so you are able to get the required hotel rooms. If you want to make sure you marry in a sunny place, the city has beautiful hot weather so you should not have to worry about rain. However, the summer is extremely hot so you may want to book your wedding for the fall or winter months.

Because Las Vegas is known for its spontaneous weddings, there are many places that can meet the quick demands such as flower shops, bridal shops, places to rent tuxedos, and great catering services. As well, if it is just the two of you getting married, it will not be a problem getting witnesses for the ceremonies. Wedding chapels always have someone readily available to serve as a witness for your joyous occasion. You can also get a whacky themed wedding such as getting married in the nude, an Elvis wedding, and much more. Why not have a crazy memorable wedding experience.

When planning a wedding in Las Vegas, it is important to note that even though the city is known for quickie marriages, you still have to meet legal requirements to receive a marriage license. You should research the wedding legalities when making your wedding preparations. Also, since there are normally a number of ceremonies scheduled in each chapel every day, you may have to wait. Chapels will offer either a civil ceremony or a religious ceremony and provide you with a justice of the peace, minister, or rabbi. If you do not speak English you can get ceremonies in French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, German, and other languages.

From simple to elegant, luxurious, and whacky, Las Vegas has something to offer every couple who are ready to get married. There are many Las Vegas vacations packages that will make the wedding experience not only fun, but also more affordable. Las Vegas weddings are unforgettable so create your enduring wedding memories today.

Special vacations package tours are the ideal way to laze away the days on a Caribbean Island. Or, you might prefer to explore the fascinating continent of Europe. Let’s first discuss the paradisiacal islands that make up the West Indies (Caribbean). The three main groups are the Lesser Antilles, the Greater Antilles, and the Bahamas.

The Caribbean is undoubtedly one of the most favorite tourist meccas on earth. The weather is perfect all year, the beaches are amazing, there are a host of historic attractions, plenty of activities, and a vibrant nightlife. You can ask a travel agency to help you to plan an all-inclusive package deal. This will include your hotel bookings, guided tours, and travel arrangements.

One of the most popular ways of experiencing the Caribbean is on a cruise ship. You can find all kinds of special discounted packages. Once you have set your dates, make your booking as early as possible. In this way, you should get a good price. Remember too that off-season rates are substantially lower than the December to April peak period.

You can save additional expenses by booking a cheaper cabin on the ship. Cabins with portholes are more expensive than those without. Likewise, the various deck levels have different prices. For example, a cabin on a lower deck is quite a lot cheaper than one on a higher deck. So, if you want to extra money, you may need to compromise on this.

This won’t make any difference to your use of the ship’s facilities. Just like all passengers, you can have free access to the swimming pools, games areas, the library, spas and saunas. Other facilities like the beauty and massage parlors will be for your account, as will alcoholic beverages from the bars. Meals are included in the package.

Tailor-made packages can also be arranged for those who would rather travel to Europe tours. It is surprising just how much you can see and do on this continent in a week or two. The ideal package for this is a multi-region tour. If you would rather spend your time getting to know one particular country, then a single-region package is the answer.

Europe is a large and cosmopolitan continent which comprises of many countries. Each has a distinctive culture and its own language. This is what makes it such a major tourist attraction. Every region has its own character. For example, London, one of the most vibrant capitals of the world, is just a short distance from the northern parts of Scotland which are tranquil and serene.

Special vacation packages Cuba tours are definitely the best way to travel the world. A typical example would be an 11 day trip to Paris, Rome, and London. Not only will your accommodation and travel be arranged, but guided tours of many of the world’s most famous sights will be included. Some of these are the Vatican Museum, the Colosseum, the Sistine Chapel, St Peter’s Basilica, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Champs-Elysees, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, and Buckingham Palace.

People need to get car Insurance if they have a car, and it is great for a customer if they can get the cheapest price. However, there are companies which do offer these prices with still providing great service. This will help people get those special rates car insurance.

One place that one needs to look for these great rates is online. If one did a search there would be many different companies to appear, and some would be familiar names. Some would be offices one knows locally. If a website has a tool that lets people do an online quote, they should do it so that they can see how much they would pay with that company.

There are other informative things that one can see on these websites. They can see what other types of coverages that that company handles. In order to comparison shop easily, doing a free quote is convenient.

In order to do the free quote, one needs to do the following. It should only take a few minutes. The first thing that person needs to enter is what their name and age is. They will then need to enter their location because some places cost more to insure.

The next thing that needs to be known is the kind of car that the person has. If their car is smaller, the rates tend to be lower. Newer cars are also more expensive to insure. The quote questionnaire needs to know the make and year of the car to get a more accurate quote.

The next type of information that is needed is the kind of coverage one needs on their car. It differs for everyone because people can buy different amounts for different categories of coverage. It is best to know what one needs because money can really be saved with the right choices.

If one does not know what type of coverages that one needs then they should call the agents at the company to find out more information. They can give the details on the types of coverage that one needs, and they can tell what prices might be appropriate. Other things that people can ask representatives is the type of payment plans that they can have set up. Some people do not want to pay the full six months, therefore, there can be payment plans where only a smaller monthly payment is made.

Auto Insurance is important because it can help save people from a problem when an unfortunate incident occurs. The first thing that a person should do is do a search online that will locate many of the local and nationwide companies. Many of the well-known names that people see on television can offer great prices, but it is good to do some research to make sure that one can find the best prices. People can do this online, or they can call the customer representatives. There are several things that a person needs to know when purchasing these products like the types of coverages that they need.

By Adriana Noton

Every winter the US roadways experience a surge in traffic as sports enthusiasts, students and snowboards drive around the country to temporarily nest in warmer climes. Winter travel can be fun but it is important that you be extra cautious when driving around in snow and icy conditions. Here are a few tips to consider when traveling during the cold season.

Getting stranded on the road because of a problem with the car doesn’t sound like fun at all. Therefore, get the car checked out before you get on the road. Check your tire tread and pressure, the battery and all fluids to make sure everything is in working condition and topped off. If a good amount of time has passed since your car has had a tune up, take it into the shop before you begin your trip.

Being comfortable driving in snow is very important if you want to avoid getting in a serious accident. Although the city does its best to get snow and ice off the road so drivers can travel safely, they can only do so much. There is a good chance you’ll be on the road when it starts to snow so you need to be able to get through it. Mostly, you’ll want to know how to deal with skidding. The proper way to handle a skid is to turn the car in the direction you want it to go while avoiding braking. Braking often contributes to the skid.

Plan out the route you are going to drive and then use weather tracking tools online to check weather conditions. You want to be aware of the weather is doing your entire trip from start to finish. As a precaution, give a copy of your planned route of travel to a trusted friend. If you do not make it to your destination, then the search party will have an idea as to where to start looking for you.

Don’t leave home without a travel kit. Your travel pack should have a basic first aid kit, a flashlight with extra batteries, a knife, a compass, a tow rope, jumper cables, kitty litter to help aid traction, ice scraper, water, extra blankets, non-perishable food, matches, portable radio and de-icer. Also, you’ll need to bring your cell phone as well as the charger that comes with it.

Your body requires more nutrition in the winter than it does in the summer. Therefore, always travel on a full stomach. Additionally, keep a day’s worth of food and water in the car just in case you get stranded. Do not put the food supplies in the truck because it could freeze.

You must maintain alertness to get through the snow which may cause you to get tired more readily. Make a point of stopping every 60-90 minutes to refresh yourself. Stretch your legs, breathe some fresh air. Even a five minute break is enough to restore focus.

Winter travel can be quite the adventure. Just be prepared and proceed cautiously. The trip will be more enjoyable if you make it to your destination safely. emergency roadside assistance

Just like birds flocking south for the winter, many people choose winter as a good time to make their way to warmer climate. The US highways get very busy with students, snowbirds and sports nuts hitting the blacktop to get themselves from one part of the country to another. Consider these safety tips to keep yourself safe during winter travel.

Before you get on the road, have your car thoroughly inspected. It is doubtful that you would want to be stranded in a snowstorm because your car broke down. Have the fluid levels, tire tread depth and pressure and battery checked to make sure all are in tip top shape. If it has been some time since your car was tuned up then have that done before putting it on the road.

Knowing how to drive in snow is of the utmost importance. Even though public services work hard to keep the streets clear, they can only do so much. There is always the chance that you will get caught in a snow down pouring so you should know how to negotiate a vehicle through it. The main skill you want to learn is how to handle skidding. If you get caught in a skid, the thing to remember is to turn the car in the direction you want it to go. Avoid using the brake as this usually only contributes to the problem.

You always want to stay on top of the weather from both where you are starting and where you are ending. Plan your route and then research weather conditions using online tools. Give an itinerary of your trip to an emergency contact just in case the unthinkable happens and you do not make it to where you were going. This will give emergency services a starting place to look should they need to come searching for you.

Don’t forget to pack a travel kit. Your travel pack should have a basic first aid kit, a flashlight with extra batteries, a knife, a compass, a tow rope, jumper cables, kitty litter to help aid traction, ice scraper, water, extra blankets, non-perishable food, matches, portable radio and de-icer. Also, don’t forget to bring along your cell phone’s car charger.

In addition to eating well before you set out, you want to carry food and water with you in case you get stranded. Keep about one day’s worth of food and at least 6 bottles of water in the car with you. Don’t put it in the truck as it is more likely to freeze there.

Take breaks frequently to stave off driver fatigue. Getting through the snow requires more work so stop about every sixty to ninety minutes to get some fresh air. It’s amazing what a five minute break can do for your focus.

Winter travel can be fun and exciting. However, if you are unprepared the trip could turn into a nightmare. Avoid this by taking the time to bring together all the tools you’ll need for a safe trip. Use common sense, take your time and enjoy the ride.

When people travel to new areas for an extended period of time, one issue they have to consider is the how much they will have to pay for accommodations. Short term rentals are now becoming a popular choice for many people over staying at hotels. Short term rentals are designed to provide guests with a home like environment, but with all of the comforts of a hotel. One important benefit of staying in a short term rental over that of a hotel is that they are cheaper.

The cost of staying at a short term rental can be $20.00 or more a night cheaper than if you stayed at a hotel. If you are staying for a week, month, or three months, the savings will really add up. As well, with a short term rental, you will have a complete kitchen with all the modern appliances. You will save a lot of money eating from the rental than if you were to dine out in restaurants everyday. Short term rentals are located near all of the amenities including supermarkets. You will really notice the savings if you have family staying with you.

Along with the lower price, you will also get more features than you would with a hotel. Depending on what type of rental you choose, you can have such features as spacious rooms, multiple bedrooms, all of the utilities, laundry services, separate dining and living rooms, high speed internet, and phone services. Luxury and convenience comes with short term rentals while living in a homey environment. Depending on the rental, you may have access to saunas, pools, and recreational activities such as gymnasiums and tennis courts. As well, you have more of a choice of the type of accommodations and amenities than with a hotel.

There are short term rentals available in a wide variety of areas. You can stay in the heart of a city or in a more rural area near an urban area. As well, short term rentals are available as apartments, condominiums, studio apartments, and even houses. People have more of a choice than a hotel while paying less than a hotel.

Overview of Costa Rica for Travelers

Christopher Columbus discovered Costa Rica and the indigenous people living there in 1502. The Spanish subsequently colonized it. The name of the country, Rich Coast, comes from their mistaken belief that gold was prevalent. It wasn’t, but the name stuck. In 1821, Costa Rica joined other Central American countries in declaring independence from Spain. True independence didn’t occur till 1838 when Costa Rica broke away from a federation of Central American countries.

In a major departure from many Central America countries, Costa Rica has largely been a free and peaceful democracy since 1899. It has a system of checks and balances similar to the United States, but more power is invested with the President and executive branch. The President and congressional members are elected to 4-year terms.

Costa Rica covers an area of 19,730 square miles. The capital is San Jose, which has a population of 2.1 million people. The terrain is rugged and tropical with dormant volcanoes, a rain forest in the south and immaculate beaches. Rainfall is heavy during summer months, but temperatures are consistently in the 70 to 90 degree range.

The people of Costa Rica are known both as “Ticos” and “Costa Ricans.” The total population is 4 million, but growing at 1.5 percent. Roman Catholic is the dominant religion, although 15 percent of the population claims Protestant as their faith. Literacy is at 96 percent. Average life expectancy for a woman is 79 years while men average 74 years. Spanish is the dominant language.

Although Costa Rica is a relatively small area, about the size of Vermont and New Hampshire combined, it has everything one could want in a vacation. Beautiful white sand beaches, great surf, active volcanoes, natural hot springs, and towering rain forests are just some of the sites in Costa Rica. Site seeing in the area is relatively simple via rental car or public bus.

A number of the principal mountain ranges are volcanic, and visitors can easily visit many of these areas. In the province of Cartago, for example, which is not far from the capital, San Jose, you will find Iraza volcano, which erupted in the early sixties. Po¡s volcano, located in the province of Alajuela, has one of the largest active craters in the world. In addition, Arenal volcano, in the north western region, delights thousands of visitors each year to a constant stream of red, hot lava rocks tumbling down its slopes.

Picturesque forests grow in the crater of the dormant Brava in Heredia. Arenal, a young volcano in the northern part of the country is constantly active (and is the site of a spa with natural hot springs). The country’s highest peak, Mount Chirripó, is not volcanic; it measures 12.412 feet. On a clear day one can see both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans from atop Mt. Chirripo.

The capital of Costa Rica is San Jose and is a good starting place for exploring the country. It is conveniently located in the center of the country and all the bus lines stop here. The port of Limon on the Caribbean Coast has quite a different atmosphere from the capital. Life is easy going on the Caribbean coast compared to the city life in San Jose.

San Jose is located in the Central Valley region of the country. Evenings in San Jose can be cool do to the high altitude, but you will not forget that you are in a tropical place even in this bustling city. The city itself is busy and filed with traffic. There are many things to do, but travelers often miss these sites choosing instead to head straight from the airport to hot costa rica beaches or rainforests. Although San Jose is not the most beautiful city in the world, it is generally safe and has a lot to offer tourists.

Costa Rica is both a hot tourist and relocation destination. The country is simply beautiful and the people are friendly. It is the right place to go the dream family vacation. There has been a lot of construction and expansion over the last 15 years. Places like Tamarindo are no longer sleepy little coast towns. If you want to see the sleepy Costa Rica of old, now is the time to go before it is too late. Visit Costa Rica!

luxury travel, formal night cruise, cruise formal wear

Much excitement and mystery surrounds the formal nights on cruises. It’s customary to have one formal night on a 5-day cruise, more in proportion on longer cruises. On my first cruise, I wondered what it would be like, how dressed-up people got, and what I would feel comfortable in. Let me fill you in!

I speak on cruise lines, and I’ve been on the Royal Caribbean, Costa, Holland America, Princess and Carnival Cruise lines lately.

Formal wear is officially defined as a tux or dark suit, white shirt and tie for men, and evening wear, cocktail dresses, fancy pantsuits or evening gowns for women.
Luxury cruises give you the opportunity to go formal, if you like to, but not an obligation. Many gentlemen do not wear tuxes. I’ve seen men in the dining room without jackets or ties, too. (Read your particular cruise line materials to see if a tie is required for gentlemen.) If you consider it fun to go formal, this is your chance to shine and you can go as formal as you like.

You can make it a full-meal deal, pampering yourself with a massage, a beauty treatment, a facial and then having your hair done that day. But book early, appointments go fast. Even if you’re cruising in the Caribbean in the summertime, the temperature is always cool in the dining rooms.

PHOTOGRAPHS

A large part of cruising for some people is the opportunity for formal portraits. It will say in your schedule when photography begins. Dress early and you may have to stay in a small line. They happily arrange family groups, even as large as 50. If you need a new professional photo, keep this in mind. They do designer-looking black and white head shots as well, and I wish I had known. I could’ve saved myself the sitting fee here in town, and a lot of time. So consider bringing along a professional jacket for one of the portrait opportunities.

DON’T WANT TO SPEND A LOT ON SOMETHING YOU’LL ONLY WEAR ONCE

There are several options here:
# Plan ahead and shop sales to catch something on special
# Shop in stores such as Ross Dress for Less. I’vee picked up wonderful formal gowns for $20-$30
# Look in resale stores. Their prices run higher, but there are always designer items, and that’s fun, too
# Don’t forget ebay, great deals, and tons of stuff for men
# Rent. Yes, they’ve thought of everything. CruiselineFormalwear for instance, provides a service for cruise guests on Holland America , Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Princess

HERE ARE SOME THINGS THEY OFFER FOR THE GUYS

# Tuxedo rental, delivered to your stateroom
# Tailor on board ship, contact the Housekeeping Dept. No charge. (Try on your tux right away; don’t wait for formal night)
# In case of major fitting problems (which shouldn’t occur if you measure right), there is usually extra inventory on board
# Inquire Instructions on the website on how to measure
# When to order? Call 1-800-551-5091 to inquire about your specific cruise. (Usually 1-2 weeks prior)
# Included is: jacket, pants, two shirts, cummerbund, bowtie, and cufflinks/studs
# Shoes and other optional accessories are rented separately
# Sizes up to 60 X-Long
# The black formal socks with the rental are yours to keep

To place your order you need:

# Name of ship, sail date and port
# Current measurements (height, weight, coat size, chest measurement, pants waist and length (inseam and out seam), shirt neck and sleeve, and shoe size
# Credit card payment information
# If your cabin number, ship or sail date change, YOU must notify Cruiseline Formalwear. The ship won’t
# Limited last-minute tux inventory for rental is aboard ship, but it’s first-come, first-served, and they may not have all sizes

FOR WOMEN

For women, CruiselineFormalwear offers several different items you can rent, including: black velvet, gold, and glitter blouses, black velvet and black crepe long skirts, and black formal shoes.
If you should forget to bring the right jewellery, there are plenty of choices in the ship store. They also offer basic formal wear for women for sale.

FOR BOYS

CruiselineFormalwear also has tuxedos for boys available for rent

AND

You’re on a cruise and there will be food 24/7. Sometimes I’m good and don’t gain 5-10 lbs. Other times, well, I always pack this great pair of beautiful black spandex-type evening pants with an elastic waist to wear toward the end of the cruise. Get the picture?

And remember, most cruise ships have alternative dining if you want to skip formal night altogether. Anyways it’s your vacation; have it your way!
